By the latest example of this situation, Can Konfeksiyon can be presented who is manufacturing in Kahramanmaraş. We have been in very nice conversation with Ejder Canpolat who has in this sector for a long time.
Hello. Mr. Ejder. Could you kindly introduce yourself to us?
I was born in Kahramanmaraş in 1972. I have 4 children and I graduated from art school. I started to work as a tailor when I was in primary school in 1980.
Mr. Ejder you had a factory. Why did you need new factory and new equipment’s and machines?
Yes, you are right. I had a factory and we produced 600 pcs suit per a day. But the technology has improved. And we need faster and unproblematic machines. If you do not follow the technologic improvements you obliged to remove from this sector in a very short time. This is valid for all kind of professionals. For this reason we decided to increase our daily production from 600 pcs suits to 700 pcs suits with the same staff.
What kind of research you have done before your investments?
The cost of these investments is so high. You do not have the possibility of making mistake. For this reason we made very effective research. We went so many garment factories who are working like us. We realized that we do not have any problem in our sewing system. We found that we have problem in our ironing presses. We did our research according to it. All the results of the researches took us to the Malkan. They are producing vertical system presses with CNC technologic system. The quality of materials which are used when they are producing their presses is so high. They have very nice team who has knowledge about mold, sewing and producing ironing press. We speak same language and same technical term and they are with us whenever we need to them. I know so many companies who us Malkan’s presses. And they also agree with me. According to these reasons we prefer Malkan Machinery.
Did you take government assistance in these investments?
I think that we should be supportive to our government in this downturn as a citizen. God rest all casualties. Our government is so strong and supportive to the productions both with development agency and investment incentive certificate. We make staffing via ISKUR.
Would you like to add something to this nice conversation?
Firstly, our Professional is so difficult. It is human driven and needs human labor. I like my professional, I made investment to this Professional and I will. Our country is so hard working. But we are in trouble because of the environment who do not let us development. We should encourage companies who like their Professional like us and Malkan Machinery.
The source of achievement and development is production, we should not forget this.
